Summer 2009 Photo Contest

I saw this photo contest hosted by Write From Karen and, well, I love any excuse to post a photo. So here is my entry:


I took this photo at sunrise from the bank of the Potomac River on our recent camping trip to Colonial Beach, VA. My favorite thing to do in summer is watch the sun rise, preferably in a new place and preferably over water. I like getting up before everyone else gets up – when everything is calm and the air is still cool from the night – and watching the world regain its color.
